David graduated from Texas A&M University with business honors and a BBA in Finance.  He earned his juris doctor, graduating cum laude, from SMU Dedman School of Law.  David began his practice and honed his craft as a commercial litigator for one of the largest law firms in Texas, handling a variety of business disputes and focusing on construction litigation, employment law, foreclosure issues, and real estate related litigation.

Prior to becoming an attorney, David worked for a multi-state regional automotive lubricants distribution company, including six years as an executive officer.  During his time in the industry, David held positions in nearly every facet of the distribution company's business, starting in the warehouse and working through the sales and accounting departments before becoming a vice president charged with overseeing operations of the company's three locations and various subsidiary companies.

David's background provides him with unique insight into the internal workings of both the business and legal worlds.  David understands the challenges faced by businesses and individuals working in today's society and knows how to navigate the legal framework in order to achieve results for his clients.  With years of state and federal court experience, David is positioned to help his clients obtain the justice they deserve.  His experience and expertise earned him recognition as a Texas SuperLawyers Rising Star from 2014-2020. 

David was named to Texas SuperLawyers 2018 Up-And-Coming 100 list, honoring the elite lawyers in Texas who ranked top of the List in the 2018 Rising Stars nomination, research and Blue Ribbon Review process.
